Games
Two-player games with a pot on the line - a host opens a lobby, two players buy in, and the winner takes the pot. Tic-Tac-Boom and Drop Four.
Two games run on Rising Tide Protocol today, and they share one shape. A host opens a lobby - one table, with a buy-in the host sets and half of every buy-in in the pot. Two players take the seats, each paying the buy-in. They play a match on-chain, one move per block. The winner takes the pot. The host is paid a share of every buy-in at their table, whoever wins.
For now, the Rising Tide team opens the tables. Hosting your own is coming.
| Game | The board | The win |
|---|---|---|
| Tic-Tac-Boom | Three by three, X and O | Three in a row. On a lobby with bombs, someone watching can blow a mark off the board first |
| Drop Four | Seven columns, discs fall to the lowest open row | Four in a line - across, down or on the diagonal |
Both are built as mobile apps first: a full-bleed scene, a list of open lobbies, and one big action at the bottom. Each game opens to you on the ladder (below); before then, the app shows what it is and how to get in.
Built on the protocol
A lobby is a smart product like a page or an open letter, and a match is a numbered edition of it - the trophy the winner claims. That is what makes the pot honest: the buy-ins sit in the lobby's own contract, the split to the host is fixed when the lobby opens, and the pot moves straight from the lobby to the winner. The contract can pay the pot only to the winner, or back to the players.
The two games differ only in the board and the win check. Everything about money - the buy-in, the host's share, the pot, the draw - is the same lobby underneath, which is why one page explains it for both: How a Lobby Works.
