Collecting
Keeping a page, edition numbering, and what ownership means on Grammata.
When you collect a page on Grammata, you keep a numbered copy. Edition #1 was the first reader. Edition #2 was the second. Yours might be #47. The number is permanent and the copy is yours.
How collecting works
Payment is direct. The writer is paid. The style artist is paid. Any collaborators or causes the writer included are paid. All of it happens in the same transaction that mints your edition. There is no platform skim, no payout cycle, no withdrawal step.
Your collection
Every page you have kept appears in your collection. From there you can:
- View any edition you own at full size
- See the edition number, owner address, and when you kept it
- Pass an edition to another reader (transfer)
- Strike an edition from the record (burn)
Pass and strike are quiet, intentional actions. Passing opens a dialog where you pick a recipient (any Rising Tide user, or paste an address). Striking requires you to type the title to confirm - it is permanent.
Cross-platform identity
Your collection on Grammata is part of the same protocol-wide collection on every other app. The Profile Hub shows the union: pages from Grammata, tickets from the events calendar, brackets from Bracket Blitz, all in one view. Your collection follows you, not the app.
Why collect
- Support a writer directly. The majority of what you pay goes to the writer, immediately.
- Permanent record. Your collection is on-chain. It outlasts Grammata.
- A specific, numbered copy. Not a like, not a save - a numbered edition with provenance.
- Read it anywhere. Your edition is yours to display, share, transfer, or destroy.
