The Roadmap

What is coming to Rising Tide Protocol - new creative domains, platform features, and infrastructure improvements.

Rising Tide Protocol is early. Most of what you see today is foundation - the substrate that everything else is built on. This page gives a plain-English picture of where we are headed.

Nothing here is a commitment to a specific timeline. If you want to be involved in shaping any of these areas, reach out to the team.

Coming soon

Secondary market

Pieces you collect are yours. Right now you can transfer them to anyone. What is coming is a proper marketplace - list a piece you own, set a price, sell it to someone else. Creators earn automatically on every resale.

This is one of the most requested features since launch. We have parked it while we harden the substrate and ship near-term creator surfaces, but it remains a planned addition.

Fiat on-ramp

You already do not need to own crypto to start - a funded invite brings starter funds, and you earn from there. A direct card-to-wallet purchase is a future convenience for topping up when you want more, with no exchange account and no bridge transaction.

Currency selection

Choosing your preferred payment currency is live. You can set a preferred default that applies wherever a product accepts it. Still coming: local display currency, with conversion handled behind the scenes so prices show in your own currency.

Expanding the creative palette

Music

The protocol infrastructure for music is already built - the same smart product foundation that powers writing and ticketed events can carry audio. The missing piece is a purpose-built app for musicians. This is a near-term priority.

Photography

Same situation as music. The protocol handles it natively. A dedicated photography experience is planned - a clean surface for visual artists to publish permanent, numbered editions of their work.

New writing formats

The formats today - haiku, tanka, sonnet, open-format, and open letters - are a starting point. Community builders can propose and author new formats that plug directly into the same earning and publishing system. See Building New Formats for how that works.

Community and social

Friends and contacts

Right now when you transfer a piece, you can select from any Rising Tide user or enter any address. We are building a proper contacts and friends layer so your regular collaborators and collectors are always one tap away.

Favorites

Browsing and saving work from creators you follow. A favorites layer is in design now.

Passing an invite on

Funded invites are how new members arrive: an invitation that carries starter funds and drops you into the right apps, ready to act - no wallet to fund first.

Members can now earn one rather than ask for one. Finishing your achievements hands you an invite to give, and coming back on five different days earns another - and another every five days after that. What is still coming is the layer around it: seeing who claimed the invite you sent, and what they went on to make. See How Earning Works.

Causes and social good

Expanding the cause registry

The list of pre-approved causes you can support when publishing is small today. We are building a nomination and verification process so any organization can apply to be listed. If there is a cause you want to see on the list, reach out.

Infrastructure

Permanent storage

Permanent storage is live. Every piece published through the protocol can be archived automatically, with a permanent, independent copy that survives whether or not the protocol API is reachable. Coverage is being rolled out per product type - pages first, then events and predictions.

Mainnet

We are on testnet. Mainnet launch is coming after the protocol hardens and the core experience is solid. Testnet users who create and collect now are building real history that will carry forward.

Open protocol

Rising Tide Protocol is designed to be open infrastructure. Developer documentation, open-source SDK, and tools for building new apps on the protocol are all part of the plan. If you are a developer interested in building on Rising Tide, The Protocol section is for you.
