For Artists
How illustrators and designers earn on Rising Tide Protocol - visual templates and sticker elements with automatic royalties on every collect.
Visual work on Rising Tide earns automatically. Publish a template or sticker once, and every time a creator uses your work to publish theirs, you earn - no licensing deal, no outreach, no invoice.
You author and manage all of it in the Asset Studio, where you build your Series of templates and stickers, submit them for review, and track what they earn.
Why this matters
Most of the time, an illustrator's work shows up somewhere - a book cover, a stationery line, a poster - through a one-time fee or a multi-quarter licensing negotiation. After that, every additional use means another conversation, another contract, another invoice. Or, more often, nothing - the value compounds for everyone but the artist.
On Rising Tide, the royalty is structural. When you publish a template, you set the rate once. From that moment, every writer who applies your template to a haiku, every event organizer who uses it on a ticket, every reader who collects any of those pieces - all of them route a share of the payment to you, automatically, on chain. You do not have to know about it. You do not have to enforce it. The protocol does it for you.
The shorthand:
- Set the rate once. No per-deal negotiation. The rate you set is the rate every creator pays.
- Earn from work you never see. Your template can be applied to thousands of pieces by hundreds of creators. You earn from all of them.
- Get paid directly. The creator publishes; the reader collects; you are paid in the same transaction.
- Your work is permanent. Templates and stickers live on the same on-chain infrastructure as the pieces they decorate. They do not vanish when an app shuts down.
Two ways to earn as an artist
Templates
Design the visual layer that creators apply to their pages, tickets, and other work. Your template frames their writing, their event, their edition. Every collect of every piece that uses your template pays you a royalty.
The royalty rate is set when you publish your template. It applies automatically to every creator who chooses your template - whether that is ten people or ten thousand.
Stickers
Publish individual visual elements that creators layer on top of any page or ticket. Stickers are additive - they combine with templates, not replace them. Every collect of a piece that uses your sticker pays you a portion of the sale.
Passive revenue that compounds
Every new creator who builds on your work expands your earnings without any additional effort from you. A template published once can generate revenue across thousands of pieces by hundreds of writers.
The protocol handles distribution automatically. You never need to track down payments or manage relationships with individual creators.
How your work shows up
The same template can carry completely different content. A writer in Grammata applies your template to a haiku; another writer applies it to a sonnet; an event organizer applies it to a ticket. Every collect of every piece pays you a share.
Three completely different products, one template. You earn from all of them.
