Stickers

Stickers are individual visual elements that creators layer on top of any page or ticket. They work alongside templates, not instead of them - a creator picks a template for the overall design and optionally adds a sticker on top.

How stickers work

You publish a sticker as a self-contained SVG element. When a creator adds your sticker to their piece before publishing, your contribution is encoded into that piece permanently. Every time someone collects that piece, you earn.

Creators can only apply one sticker per piece. If a creator swaps stickers before publishing, only the final sticker earns.

Earnings

You set your royalty rate when you publish your sticker. That rate applies automatically on every collect of every piece that uses it - separate from the template royalty, so both you and the template designer earn on the same collect.

The earnings go directly to your address at collect time. No action required on your part.

The difference from templates

Templates frame the entire piece. Stickers are additive accents. A creator might choose your sticker because it fits the mood of a specific poem, pairs with a particular event, or just speaks to their audience. The creative decision is theirs - the earnings are automatic.

What stickers can be

Stickers are single SVG elements. They can be anything that makes sense as a layer on top of a page or ticket - illustrative elements, typographic accents, symbols, borders, marks. There are no enforced content restrictions beyond what the protocol team approves.

Getting started

You author and submit stickers in the Asset Studio - draft your element, submit it for review, and it goes live once approved.

Sticker publishing requires an Early Adopter or Admin account. Reach out to the Rising Tide team to publish your first sticker and start earning from every creator who layers it on their work.
